I got two of their a la carte chicken breast skewers and they were delicious. Seasoned perfectly and a good amount of it. The garlic sauce is delicious and a great place to get your protein. Iβd definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.
Overview
Walking into Habibi Grill Halal Shawarma & Falafel feels like stepping into a neighborhood spot that knows exactly what itβs doing. I stopped by during a busy lunch rush, and within minutes it was clear why locals keep coming back. The aroma of spiced beef and chicken rotating on the vertical spit, the sound of fresh pita warming, and the friendly back-and-forth between staff and regulars set the tone for a place that values consistency and care.
The menu is focused without being boring. Shawarma plates, wraps, falafel, hummus, and sides like rice and salad cover the essentials of Middle Eastern comfort food. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, and the process was simple but clearly practiced: freshly shaved meat straight from the spit, layered with garlic sauce, pickles, and crisp vegetables, then wrapped tightly so every bite stayed balanced. That attention to method matters. According to food science research published by the Institute of Food Technologists, evenly layered ingredients improve heat retention and flavor distribution, which explains why the wrap tasted just as good halfway through as it did on the first bite.
Falafel here deserves its own moment. Made fresh and fried to order, the exterior comes out golden and crunchy while the inside stays bright green and herbaceous. The texture tells you the chickpeas were soaked and ground in-house rather than pulled from a mix, a technique many chefs recommend for better flavor and digestibility. During one visit, I watched a staff member check oil temperature before each batch, a small step that aligns with FDA food safety guidelines and helps prevent greasy results.
This spot sits at 15272 Rosecrans Ave, La Mirada, CA 90638, United States, making it an easy stop for both locals and commuters. Reviews often mention generous portions, and that matches my experience. One plate easily fed me for lunch and leftovers later. From a value standpoint, thatβs important, especially as recent National Restaurant Association data shows diners are increasingly prioritizing portion size and ingredient quality over flashy presentation.
Halal preparation is taken seriously here, which builds trust. Halal certification standards, as outlined by organizations like the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America, emphasize cleanliness, sourcing, and humane handling. While diners donβt always see the paperwork, the transparency in the kitchen and the staffβs willingness to answer questions goes a long way. One server explained how meats are sourced and handled separately, reinforcing confidence for customers who rely on halal compliance.
The atmosphere stays casual and welcoming. Families, students, and solo diners all seem comfortable sharing the space. During one visit, a regular recommended the beef shawarma plate to a first-timer, calling it must try and always fresh, and judging by the steady stream of orders, that reputation isnβt accidental. Consistency like this usually comes from repetition and training, not shortcuts.
There are limits worth noting. Seating can feel tight during peak hours, and parking may require a short walk if the lot fills up. Still, these are small trade-offs for food thatβs prepared with care and served without pretension. In a dining landscape where menus keep getting bigger and flavors blur together, this place sticks to what it knows and executes it well.
Whether youβre scanning reviews before choosing your next meal or just craving a reliable shawarma wrap, this diner-style restaurant delivers on flavor, process, and trust. The combination of focused menu choices, thoughtful preparation, and genuine hospitality explains why so many people keep adding it to their regular rotation.

Great service Great food and lots of options Halal Friendly staff
The service i recieved was amazing. My food was out of the kitchen within a few minutes. The food was delicious a definite 10/10 and was just outright amazing. I would definitely recommend others to come here to eat and enjoy authentic Mediterranean food.
A nice choice of middle eastern sandwiches and plates. My wife had the Shawerma Beef and I had the Falafel plate. Both came with a choice of two side dishes. We both chose a salad and Hummas. The waitress was pleasant and very helpful. The meals were moderately priced. We will definitely go back. The restaurant is located in the La Mirada shopping center on Rosecrans, and La Mirada Blvd, next to Albertsons
One of the friendliest people youβll ever meet. Very attentive, welcoming staff. Plenty of parking available. The food was very fresh with just the right amount of spice and flavor. The falafel plate was very filling. Would order again! The hummus was a 10/10 would recommened! Recommend if you are picking up lunch/dinner or casually dining in. If you are looking for Mediterranean cuisine, this place is where itβs at.
